Chakras Explained: Your Path to Healing and Recovery
The journey of healing and recovery requires not just physical healing but also emotional and spiritual transformation.
One of the most powerful self-healing and transformational methods I encountered on my personal journey has been working with the energy fields in our bodies, aka. the chakras—centers of energy that can guide you toward emotional balance and recovery just like they did for me. I only share what worked for me and I was a lifelong heroin user.
If I did it I’m telling you ANYONE can. By integrating spiritual practices and insights from revelations of consciousness research, we can find a more holistic path to overcoming addiction.
“We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.”
-Maryanne Williamson
Chakras and the Healing Path of Emotional Recovery
Understanding how the human mind truly works is vital when you’re on the path to recovery from addiction, whether it’s drugs or alcohol. When I began my recovery journey, I had no idea how ineffable the human mind truly is. Now, it’s become almost an obeseeion because when you finally realize what the mind is capable of- what you are capable of the skys the limit.
Addiction is often rooted in deep emotional pain and the weight of constant stress. While traditional medical approaches are great for managing symptoms, real healing goes deeper. We need to look at the spiritual aspects of recovery to fully heal.
That’s where chakras have been life-changing for me. Every chakra plays a crucial role in different aspects of our lives—our emotions, physical well-being, and personal development.
Once I began the intrinsic journey of balancing my chakras, not only was my life transformed but my approach to my nutrition and fully embracing my healing and recovery journey began. This balance allowed me to reconnect with myself on a deeper, more meaningful level, and I truly can’t recommend this path enough for anyone going through recovery.
Dr. David R. Hawkins, a world-renowned author and researcher of consciousness, emphasizes that healing goes beyond the physical body; it involves addressing our energy, thoughts, and emotions.
Spiritual Teacher Dr. David Hawkins' Profound Understanding of Healing
Drawing on the work of Dr. David Hawkins and his map of consciousness, we see that addiction and recovery are deeply tied to our inner transformation. His in-depth exploration of metaphysics and the rich insights from his teachings help us understand the levels of truth that we
must confront on our journey. Dr. Hawkins’ lectures on recovery groups and his recovery program outline how energy imbalances can manifest as addiction and how balancing these energies can lead to deep healing.
Dr. Hawkins also sheds light on how personal experience plays a crucial role in recovery. His thought-provoking exercises and practical approach offer specific instructions on how to tap into your chakras for emotional healing. This path goes beyond just joining recovery groups like Alcoholics Anonymous; it involves engaging with the spiritual teacher within you and understanding the spiritual aspects of your addiction.
Why Chakras Are Crucial in Addiction Recovery
Many people, especially those in recovery groups or members of several self-help groups, find that traditional methods offer little information on spiritual healing. However, by incorporating mindfulness techniques, powerful, effective meditation, and spiritual practices, we can begin to let go of our pain and embrace recovery on all levels.
The healing path of emotional healing involves both holistic health and a balanced approach to wellness. It’s not just about stopping harmful behaviors; it’s about healing the underlying emotional wounds that drive those behaviors. This is where the chakras serve as helpful tools for inner healing, acting as a guide through the various levels of truth we must face.
Actionable Advice for Healing and Recovery
When it comes to life’s challenges, whether you’re dealing with sexual problems, drug addiction, or the impact of constant stress, working with your chakras offers actionable advice for both recovery and personal growth. Through this transformational series, you will learn about each chakra’s role in your overall well-being, how it relates to your addiction, and practical steps to bring it into balance.
By integrating spiritual aspects with traditional medical approaches, you can elevate your recovery to the next level. Incorporating mindfulness techniques, emotional healing practices, and holistic health approaches will guide you toward lasting transformation.
The Importance of a Balanced Approach
While working with your chakras offers a practical approach to healing, it is important to remember the value of a balanced approach. This involves combining traditional medical treatment with spiritual practices, self-care, and emotional healing. Programs like those offered by attitudinal healing centers and recovery groups provide a foundation for healing, but balancing your chakras can accelerate your progress and provide a more comprehensive solution.
Whether you’re guided by a spiritual teacher like Dr. David Hawkins or exploring your own inner transformation, balancing your chakras can open the door to a new way of healing. As Dr. Hawkins shares in his group of lectures, understanding the map of consciousness is key to overcoming addiction and achieving lasting recovery.
On a Personal Note
When I first discovered Chakras on my intrinsic personal development and self-betterment journey, I was skeptical, to say the least. Still, when I discovered my late-in-life unplanned pregnancy, I committed. After spending twenty years stuck in a cycle in He*l of addiction and incarceration, I had to admit that everything I had tried or would try wasn’t working. My way wasn’t working. A hard realization for a control freak like myself, but I handled it.
I found myself looking at myself in the mirror of the bathroom at the homeless shelter where I had left my apartment to live to get away from my business and everything associated with my business. I had never in my life been particularly nice to myself in any sense of the word. I was quite the opposite. I was cruel. Nobody was harder on me than me. I looked into my eyes in the mirror, and for the first time in my life, I thought, “Girllllll, you deserve so much more.”
For the first time, I agreed and internally asked, “How do I get more?”
Staring down at my scarred hands and arms with tears brimming in my eyes. I will never forget what came through next because it was so opposite of anything I would ever think. It was as follows:
“You will keep an open mind and throw away everything you think you know. Say good-bye. You are aware that everything you have ever tried to live your best life has done the opposite of succeed. Use them as lessons, stepping stones that were needed to get you to where you are going. Start with kindness, and you cannot fail. Do for others, and you will not fail.
Keep love in your heart for all, especially those who have hurt you. Remember, you control how you feel, no matter what. The way you feel is on you. Anything that initially makes you roll your eyes- do that immediately. Do the opposite of what you have always done. Keep your ego in check. There is a plan and you are going to do big things as long as you keep that mind open, and remember these words.” I followed my own very wise advise not caring where it originated. It has worked.
